Airconditioning and Ducting

Darwin Sheetmetal’s commercial/industrial air-conditioning side started with our, now closed company, PEG Mechanical Services. PEG started back in 1990 and would source its ducting elsewhere. In 1996 Darwin Sheetmetal was created to supply ductwork directly to PEG. In 2007 PEG was closed and the air-conditioning contracting work was rolled over into Darwin Sheetmetal.
We can do works for small tenancy fit outs, to larger refurbishments or new buildings. Some works we have done are as follows:
- Woolworths Leanyer – Remove and replaced an air handling unit the size of a small house, 40m of supply air ductwork, numerous grilles and fittings. Refurbished the butchers area with new stainless steel chook cooker hood.
- Batchelor College – New Building supply and install 80 metres of supply and return air ductwork.
- Larakeyah Naval Base Officers Mess – Supply and install 50 metres of supply air duct, 2 x 8 metres stainless steel kitchen hoods, make up air to suit, fans, penetrations, walk ways on the roof.
- Bakewell Childcare Centre – New Building supply of 10 split systems and outside air ducting, plus fans, roof penetrations and flashings.
Works conducted by DSM include chilled water, split systems, packaged units, duct supply and install, fabricate plenum boxes, cushion heads and driptrays.
On the smaller side of things we can do exhaust / extraction systems for toilets, smoke spill, kitchens, just to name a few.
